Takumi Sumino, an ordinary teenager residing in the Tokyo Residential Complex, finds his mundane life disrupted when monstrous creatures attack the town. A mysterious being named Sirei offers Takumi the power to protect his loved ones, but at a cost – he must pierce his own chest. Suddenly, Takumi awakens in Last Defense Academy, a secluded school surrounded by mystical flames.
Alongside 14 other students, he is enlisted in the Special Defense Unit to safeguard the school for the next 100 days. As they confront grotesque invaders, they must decide how much they are willing to sacrifice to reclaim their normalcy and save the world. The stage is set for a harrowing 100 days of conflict and adversity.
