Above them, a sinister rift tears open the sky. Elsewhere, the Wutai interim government leads the Shinra Resistance Committee in declaring war. In a grim procession, shadowy figures in black robes bear the remains of Jenova—the alien entity known as the cataclysm from the stars and the root of this chaos.
